The Design Cycle

Investigation:

Choose your subject: Brainstorm, mind maps, lists, clarify, narrow down top 3 ideas ( +, -)
·      Make a survey
·      Choose final idea

  • Specifications:

·      Restrictions for your product.
·      Narrow down to 8-10
·      Must have, should have, could have.

  • Research:

·      In-depth research
·      Examples from different sources.
·      Bibliography (MLA)
Design:
Initial Ideas :
·      Brainstorm create ideas
·      Make realistic designs
·      Create rough sketches
·      Keep 5 initial designs to choose from.

Final 3 Ideas:
·      Annotate them clearly
·      Expand on them
·      Clarify storyboard.

Final 1:
·      Explain why you chose that one compare against specifications.
Plan:
Include:
·      Materials
·      Time
·      Techniques
·      Modifications box
·      Screenshots
·      Safely precautions

Make sure:
It is in logical order, You have access to all materials.

Reflect:
·      Could someone else follow this plan?
·      What could you change? Why?
Create:
Make a product:
·      Follow your plan
·      Use the right materials

Process Journals:
·      Every Lesson make a journal entry.
·      Explain Process
·      Add to modifications
·      Did you follow your plan?
·      Show evidence, screenshots.
Evaluate:
Evaluate Product:
 Determine if your product was a success or failure.

Compare:
 Measure your product against your design specifications.

Reflection:
 Evaluate & Reflect on your whole process. Is there any improvements?
